Blinx – Update
We’re pleased to update you on the progress of our new Blinx online consultation system. Starting this week, we will begin transitioning to Blinx in a careful, phased approach. From Wednesday 4th June, our reception team will start using Blinx when you call the practice or visit the front desk. This means:
· If you phone the practice – our reception team will use Blinx to submit your request.
· If you visit the surgery – our front desk team will use Blinx to log your query.
· If you use online services, you can continue using Patchs exactly as you do now until further notice.
Why Are We Starting This Way?
We want to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for everyone. By starting with our reception team first, we can:
· Make sure our staff are confident and comfortable with the new system
· Identify and resolve any issues before you start using it directly
· Ensure you continue to receive a consistent service without interruption
What You’ll Notice
When you call or visit the practice, you may notice that our reception team are using the new system to log your requests. This might mean that we ask you different questions about your request than what you are used to. The new system helps us gather the right information more efficiently by using forms tailor made to the query you have.
What Happens Next
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be monitoring how well the new system is working. Once we’re confident everything is running smoothly, we will:
· Enable full patient access to Blinx online
· Switch off the Patchs system
· Send you detailed instructions on how to use Blinx
· Provide support to help you get familiar with the new service
Patchs
Please continue to use Patchs for your online requests exactly as you normally would. We’ll let you know as soon as the full Blinx service is ready for you to use, and we’ll provide simple instructions to help you get started.
